Audible

I love a podcast.

And I love Christmas.

Those good people at Audible have allowed me to merge those two things together in a new Audible Original podcast. It's out now!

It's called CHRISTMAS: WHAT THE FA-LA-LA-LA-LA?, and it's hosted by me and Grace Dent, the champion journalist, food critic and broadcaster. She's fab. It's a 6-part series where we dissect Christmas in all its forms, I waffle a bit about Christmas past, Grace champions Christmas present, and we welcome guests Andy Zaltzman, Angelica Bell, Shaun Keaveny, Lucy Porter, Aatif Nawaz and Milton Jones to help us out.

You can listen. You SHOULD listen. But it's not on your usual podcast app - it's on the fancy-pants Audible app.

You may think of Audible as just audiobooks (and more news soon about my book Hark! The Biography of Christmas in audiobook form), but when you subscribe, you get ALL their podcasts for free. There's stuff by Dermot O'Leary, Stephen Fry, and soon, my very own Christmas one. If you want to cancel your subscription, you still get to keep the podcasts and any audiobooks too.

Audible haven't asked me to plug it. I do just genuinely think they do a great job. Try it, see if you agree. Either way, try it and get my new podcast - and soon, maybe, perhaps, my audiobook too.

This needn't cost you a penny. Click the image, get the free trial, get my podcast (and all the others), and then you can cancel if you like. Or stay with it and get an audiobook a month. If you've already had a free trial in the past, you can still get another one if your free trial was more than a year ago. Do it!

In brief:

1. Click the link or the banner. Arrive at Amazon's Audible page.

2. Sign up to Audible's free tiral. Yes, card details needed, but you can unsubscribe after your free trial easily enough, and keep your audiobooks/podcasts. It would auto-renew at £7.99/mth (for that you get a credit for any audiobook - even the epic ones), but you can cancel before that happens and spend ZILCH pounds if preferred.

3. Once you've signed up, find the CHRISTMAS: WHAT THE FA-LA-LA-LA-LA? page.

4. Download the app onto your phone for the best experience...

5. Happy listening!

Either way, please do so by clicking the link on this page - then you're helping me out because I get a few squid for referring you, even if you just do the free trial. Everyone wins!

So go one, help a brother out. Click this link or the pic above, grab a free trial, and enjoy the let's-face-it-inappropriately-named CHRISTMAS: WHAT THE FA-LA-LA-LA-LA?

Thanks!
